What you require to sign up

Diaspora loans are only offered to applicants who meet either of the following criteria:

  • Non-Resident Kenyans
  • Kenyans sent on foreign missions abroad
  • Kenyans with dual citizenship

The loans can be extended to individuals, joint applicants, or group (Chama) of applicants.

Required Documents For Each Applicant:

  • New or existing Equity Bank account
  • Identification Documents – Kenyan ID/Passport, KRA PIN, and proof of current address
  • Credit report from your country of residence
  • Copies of Bank statements for the past 6 months
  • Complete individual tax returns for the past 3 years

Salaried Applicants:

In addition to the above, salaried applicants must provide:

  • 3 latest pay slips/paystubs
  • Employment letter/W-2/P60/T4

Self-Employed Applicants:

In addition to the above, self-employed applicants must provide:

  • Business registration documents
  • Business bank statements for the last 12 months
  • Business tax returns for the past 3 years
  • Year-to-date management accounts (balance sheet and P&L statement)

Construction Documents

  • Bill of Quantity for the entire project
  • Approved building plans and structural drawings
  • Approved NEMA and NCA approval certificates
  • Copy of the property title

  • Complaints Handling Process:

    • Lodge complaint at any of our branches, via call center, info@equitybank.co.ke or website: https://equitygroupholdings.com/ke/ We will record your feedback and issue you with a reference number.
    • We will acknowledge you feedback within 48hours.
    • If we cannot resolve the complaint immediately, we will advise on the next cause of action and when to expect feedback from us.
    • We will endeavor to resolve the complaint within 7 working days. However, should we require more time to it, we will keep you updated with progress every 7 days until the complaint is resolved.
    • Should the resolution not meet your satisfaction, feel free to get back to us with your concerns and we will review the issue and resolution and revert to you.
